Kyle Freeland Destroyed On Monday
Kyle Freeland took the loss on Monday when he allowed seven runs on nine hits with three walks and six strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings. It was a rough outing for Freeland as the pesky Giants were all over him from the get-go. He served up back-to-back home runs to Darin Ruf and Buster Posey in the first inning and gave up two more homers to Thairo Estrada. San Francisco collected nine hits total and scored seven runs off Freeland over his 4 1/3 innings. The rough start elevated Freeland's season ERA to 4.69 to go along with a 1.41 WHIP and 87:28 K/BB ratio over 96 innings (19 starts). He'll look to bounce back against the Phillies on the road in his next turn.
