Torey Krug Posts Four Points Versus Detroit
7 years agoBoston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug scored two goals and added two assists in the Bruins 6-5 overtime win against the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night. Krug opened the scoring just 37 seconds into the game and did not look back, adding another goal and an assist in the second period. The 26-year-old finished the night by earning a helper on Brad Marchand’s overtime winner. Krug has posted an unreal nine points in the last four games and a total of 47 points in 60 games played this season. The Bruins defense has been short-staffed since Charlie McAvoy went down with a knee injury. However, the remaining blue-liners have certainly stepped up and performed well. Look for Krug to continue to contribute and post plenty of playing time through the remainder of the season as the Bruins hold the second spot in the Atlantic Division.
