Kristian Campbell Back in Lineup, Starting in Center Field
Kristian Campbell is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's meeting with the visiting New York Mets at Fenway Park and will start in center field and bat fifth against Mets right-hander Clay Holmes. Campbell has been working out at first base recently in the wake of Triston Casas' season-ending knee injury, but manager Alex Cora said that the team is far away from using the 22-year-old at first in a game. It will not happen on the team's current homestand, and Cora said on a scale from zero to 10, there's around a "2.5" or "3" that Campbell is on his way to appearing at first base. The bigger issue for Campbell's fantasy managers is that he's gone just 4-for-47 (.085) with a homer, three RBI and 15 strikeouts in 11 games so far in May at the plate. He got the last two days off to clear his head, so hopefully Campbell can start putting up better at-bats and get out of his funk.
