Kenneth Gainwell 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Not Much Upside For The Steelers RB3
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kenneth Gainwell is no longer with the Philadelphia Eagles, and on his new team, he doesn't have a ton of upside. Right now, Jaylen Warren and rookie Kaleb Johnson appear to be set to be the team's clear top-2 running backs. Gainwell has never been fantasy relevant, and he's not been good enough to be a quality starter on any team he's been a part of. He could get some touches in an ancillary role, as Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is known for giving some volume at times to players lower on the depth chart, but he'll probably produce minimally. Warren and the unproven Johnson could also prove to not be serious competition for Gainwell, but the best-case scenario for the former Eagle appears to be an ugly 3-way committee that decimates the fantasy value for all three players. Even in deep dynasty fantasy football leagues, Gainwell offers little hope for any kind of helpful production.
