Julio Rodriguez Back in the Lineup on Friday
Julio Rodriguez (back) is back in center field and is batting third in Friday's contest in Houston against the Astros at Daikin Park against right-hander Ryan Gusto. The Mariners scratched Rodriguez as a precaution in Thursday's series opener due to tightness in his back, but he is returning the very next day and should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups against an inexperienced pitcher. The 24-year-old Dominican and former American League Rookie of the Year has cleared the fences twice in his last three games and has hit .240 (12-for-50) with three homers, a double, 11 RBI and seven runs scored in 12 games in the last 14 days. J-Rod is hitting a disappointing .231 (45-for-195) on the year, but his xBA of .266 points to positive regression as the 2025 season progresses. He has hit safely in eight of his last nine games.
