Julio Jones Designated To Return From Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe Tennessee Titans designated wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) to return from Injured Reserve on Monday, opening his 21-day window for the team to officially activate him from IR. Jones was placed on IR on Nov. 13, but he could officially be activated in time to play in Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars if he looks good in practice this week. The veteran wideout has been a disappointment in his first season with the Titans, mainly due to his injuries, and has only 21 catches for 336 yards in six games played. Marcus Johnson is out for the season, and A.J. Brown was put on IR on Nov. 27, so the Titans could really use another receiver to pair with Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, rookie Dez Fitzpatrick and Chester Rogers. The 32-year-old Jones will almost certainly be eased back into action when he returns on game day.
