Josiah Gray An Option To Join Rotation
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers top pitching prospect Josiah Gray is "on the table" to join the rotation against the San Francisco Giants next week in place of left-hander Clayton Kershaw (forearm), who still has no timetable for a return. Gray, a 23-year-old right-hander, has been great in three starts for Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowing two earned runs on four hits while striking out 15 and walking just two in 11 innings pitched. There's obviously some high-end strikeout upside here, as well as excellent control of his arsenal, but he's only thrown 11 innings in the minors this year and figures to be handled with kid gloves in the big leagues if he makes a spot start or two. Gray is surely one to stash in dynasty/keeper leagues, but he could be an overrated streamer in DFS if he makes a start next week against San Francisco. Stay tuned.
