Joshua Dobbs Starts Final Preseason Game
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Joshua Dobbs started Thursday's preseason game and went 3-for-5 with 21 yards, while taking one rush for 11 yards along with fumbling on a sack early in the first quarter. Dobbs has been battling with Mason Rudolph to be Ben Roethlisberger's backup this year. One would assume the team would battle test Dobbs in the final preseason game but Rudolph saw more chances to sling the pigskin. Final cuts are due on Saturday so we'll know more of who the team chooses then, but Dobbs doesn't hold much fantasy value even if he makes the roster. He's able to make plays with his feet, but hasn't displayed the ability to be a franchise-leading quarterback.
