Josh Naylor Mashes Walk-Off Grand Slam
Josh Naylor went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI in Monday's 8-4 win against the Seattle Mariners. He singled, doubled, scored twice, and drew a walk. The 27-year-old entered the contest in a 1-for-21 slump, but promptly broke out of it to deliver a massive performance. Naylor picked up his first RBI with a double in the seventh, but saved his best for last when he approached the dish in the bottom of the eleventh inning. With the bases jacked, he battled Mariners' reliever Carlos Vargas, fouling off three straight balls before blasting a walk-off grand slam to send everyone home. It was homer No. 8 for the former first-round pick, who's added nine steals, 44 RBI, 32 runs scored, and a solid .290/.346/.457 triple slash.
