Jose Trevino Continues To Hit Well
4 years agoTexas Rangers catcher Jose Trevino was moved up to the No. 4 hole in the lineup two games ago and he has continued to hit well. The 28-year-old backstop went 2-for-5 on Tuesday night as the Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays by a score of 8-3. He's now hitting .387 through eight games but he's a unique option for the clean-up spot because just one of his 12 hits has gone for extra bases. He also has yet to drive in a run this season. Good catchers can be hard to find in fantasy baseball so Trevino's position in the lineup gives him some added value even if he lacks pop. He's a decent option in fantasy leagues with two catcher slots.
