Jose Altuve Picks Up First Hits Of Postseason
4 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve went 2-for-4 with one run scored and two runs batted in as the Astros took down the A's 10-5 in Game 1 of the ALDS. Altuve came into the game 0-for-7 during the postseason but came alive as the Astros pounded Oakland's pitching. It has been a dismal regular season for the former MVP, posting a .629 OPS with only 14 extra-base hits through 192 at-bats. But Altuve is looking to recapture some of the magic he enjoyed in the 2019 playoffs when he slashed .329/.366/.605 in 18 postseason games with five home runs and six doubles.
