Jordan Westburg Homers in Second Straight Rehab Game
Jordan Westburg (hamstring) continued to hit well on Saturday during his rehab assignment, going 2-for-2 with a walk, a double, and a solo home run for Triple-A Norfolk. It was his second consecutive game with a home run, and six of his nine rehab hits have now gone for extra bases (four 2B, two HR). The 26-year-old's bat sure looks ready, and a return to Baltimore in the coming days is likely. The right-handed hitter recorded an uninspiring .217/.265/.391 slash line before going down with the injury, although he had hit safely in six of his last seven games, so perhaps his bat was beginning to come around back in mid-April. Coming off an 18-homer campaign in 2024 in just 107 games, Westburg could be a sneaky source of power in deep mixed leagues, and is eligible at both 2B and 3B on Yahoo!.
