John Ross Designated To Return From Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe New York Giants have designated wide receiver John Ross (hamstring) to return from Injured Reserve, and he will practice on Wednesday. Ross suffered a hamstring injury in training camp and was not available for the first three weeks of the regular season while on IR. The Giants could use some reinforcements at the position with both Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton getting injured in the Week 3 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, but it's not a lock that Ross will be ready to play in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints. The first-round pick in 2017 has been a bust in his first four NFL seasons, and he hasn't played in more than 13 games in a single season. Rookie Kadarius Toney stands to benefit the most if Shepard and/or Slayton sit out or are inactive this Sunday.
