Joey Logano wound up as the top Ford driver on Sunday at Fontana. He finished fifth as his No. 22 car slipped heavily on the final lap as he dropped nearly a second from the top three drivers. His Team Penske vehicle just did not seem to have that short burst speed needed to stay close to the top contenders. Give Logano credit as he did battle all throughout the race to linger amongst the leaders. Earlier in the race his car was faster during the intermediate parts of the few longer runs the race enjoyed. With 12 cautions in all, the race was full of excitement.
