8 months agoTexas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo hit his second home run of the 2019 season on Thursday against the Los Angeles Angels. Gallo took Angels starterĀ Matt Harvey deep for a three-run home run in the first inning. That was Gallo's only hit of the game, leaving him with a .227 batting average on the season. For many that would a be worrying batting average, but by Gallo's standards, .227 is a strong start to the season. The first seven games of the season have seen Gallo put up other solid numbers, with seven runs, eight RBI and eight walks to just seven strikeouts. Gallo is off to a nice start in 2019 and could back that up against Felix Pena on Friday, who gave up four earned runs in his first start.--Ben Rolfe - RotoBaller
