Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Joe Musgrove finally made his season debut on Friday and did not disappoint in a win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Returning from a right shoulder strain that had kept him sidelined since spring training, he fired seven shutout, five-hit innings while striking out seven. Musgrove lived up to his reputation as a strike-thrower, issuing no walks and firing 50 of his 67 pitches for strikes. This was the pitcher the Pirates hoped they were trading for when giving up former ace Gerrit Cole in January, and he's a worthy add for fantasy owners searching for pitching help. Musgrove's next start will come on Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs.--Matt Wilkes
