Jets Will Be Cautious With Breece Hall In The Opener
1 year agoThe New York Jets' plan is to play running back Breece Hall (knee) in the Week 1 season opener against the Buffalo Bills, but they will be cautious with his workload. Hall returned to training camp practice two weeks ago but didn't play in the preseason and hasn't played in a game since suffering a torn ACL last Oct. 23. "We've never been worried about his availability; we just have to be smart," head coach Robert Saleh said. Meanwhile, backfield mate Dalvin Cook said he couldn't speculate on what his potential workload will be in Week 1. Saleh said he feels comfortable with Cook, Hall and Michael Carter at RB, and the team also has rookie Israel Abanikanda. The 22-year is fully expected to eventually lead the Jets backfield in 2023, but until then, he'll have a lower weekly ceiling and floor in fantasy.
