Jerick McKinnon Sent To Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs placed running back Jerick McKinnon (hamstring) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday, meaning he'll be out for the next three games. In a corresponding move, the Chiefs activated offensive guard Kyle Long (knee) from the Physically Unable to Perform list. Long came out of retirement in the offseason and will make his season debut in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos on Sunday night. McKinnon was injured back in Week 11. The 29-year-old pass-catching back has been used sparingly behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams this year, carrying the ball only seven times for 38 yards and catching 10 of 17 targets for 81 yards in 11 games. Williams should see a few more pass-catching opportunities moving forward with McKinnon sidelined.
