Houston Astros shortstop Jeremy Pena (neck) is out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Texas Rangers. Manager Dusty Baker said Pena woke up with neck stiffness, so they'll hold him out of the game as a precaution. That being said, this appears to be a day-to-day issue, so Pena should avoid a trip to the injured list. Mauricio Dubon is covering shortstop and batting sixth versus right-hander Jon Gray on Friday.
