Jazz Chisholm Jr. Still Out on Friday
Jazz Chisholm Jr. (groin) remains out of action for Friday's series opener against the division-rival Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Oswald Peraza will make another start at the hot corner and will hit ninth against Red Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet. The oft-injured Chisholm was pulled early Wednesday's game due to left-groin tightness and sat out of Thursday's series finale against the Kansas City Royals as a result. The 27-year-old is now out for a second straight game, and while he's considered day-to-day for now, it's easily something that could land him on the injured list if he's unable to return soon. Peraza is a big step down offensively from Chisholm and should be avoided for DFS purposes in the nine-hole against a tough starting pitcher on Friday night. Peraza has gone just 17-for-102 (.167) on the year in a bench role with three homers, 11 RBI and 13 runs.
