Jayden Daniels Cleared, Back in QB1 Territory for Return Against Minnesota
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) is set to make his return in Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings. Daniels will wind up only missing three games after suffering a dislocated left elbow during Washington's Week 9 loss against the Seattle Seahawks. The second-year star quarterback should have his full arsenal of weapons healthy on Sunday, with No. 1 wideout Terry McLaurin back healthy and Noah Brown (groin) expected to return as well. Daniels wasn't quite near the level of his historically significant rookie campaign before getting injured, completing 62.5% of his passes for 1,184 yards with eight touchdowns and two interceptions while adding 54 carries for 262 yards and two touchdowns as a runner in six games. Despite leaving a few games early and working with a subpar pass-catching group for most of his starts, he still averaged 19.3 fantasy points per game, which ranks as the QB8. Daniels will have a tougher matchup in his Week 14 return, however, facing a Vikings defense that will send a heavy number of blitzes and has allowed the fifth fewest passing yards per game.
