6 years agoCleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis (calf) will join Triple-A Columbus for a rehab assignment this weekend. He could make his season debut next which, which is good news for an Indians middle infield that is also currently without shortstop Francisco Lindor (ankle). Brad Miller and Max Moroff have been holding down the fort at the keystone with Kipnis on the injured list to begin the season. The left-handed hitter has been a disappointment in the average department the last couple seasons and hasn't hit 20-plus homers since 2016. He'll mostly be a middle infield option in deep mixed and AL-only leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
