James Conner Gets Good Week 1 Matchup Against Patriots
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner is back in 2019 after a breakout second season in 2018. He starts the season off on the road against the New England Patriots Sunday night. The Patriots host one of the worst run stopping defensive lines in the league, finishing last season in the bottom half in average yards per carry and runs stuffed at or behind the line of scrimmage, according to FootballOutsiders.com. Conner is one of the few backs in the NFL that is still given a three-down workload. While backup Jaylen Samuels will get his touches, he won't take away from Conner's production. You drafted him as an RB1 and he should be treated as such in Week 1.
