Dallas Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger earned his first career victory in his first NHL start as his team captured a 7-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday. The 22-year-old didn't have to be perfect given the offensive support in front of him but he still logged 20 saves on 23 shots against in the contest. With netminder Ben Bishop sidelined with an injury until at least March, Oettinger will get plenty of time over the next two months to prove that he's ready to perform on the big stage. A former first-round draft selection of the Stars in 2017, Oettinger will likely get another call to take the crease when the Stars travel to Raleigh for a pair of games on Saturday and Sunday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
