The Jacksonville Jaguars waived running back Mekhi Sargent on Monday. The Jaguars recently signed Sargent to a futures deal in January, but now he'll head to waivers. The 25-year-old former undrafted free agent did not play in an NFL game last year after spending time with the Jaguars, Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams in 2021. In seven games that year, he saw only five carries for 11 yards. Sargent was buried on the running back depth chart in Jacksonville behind Travis Etienne Jr., JaMycal Hasty, D'Ernest Johnson, Snooper Conner and Qadree Ollison.
