Jadeveon Clowney Still Not Practicing In Full
6 years agoHouston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee) still hasn't practiced in full two weeks into training camp. Head coach Bill O'Brien said that Clowney is still "trying to work back to football shape" on Sunday. O'Brien said on Tuesday that he thinks Clowney is getting closer. Regardless, O'Brien said he is "not concerned about him." Clowney had minor knee surgery in January and missed organized team activities in the spring. He has a checkered injury past but was able to play in all 16 games last year and had a career-high 9.5 sacks, 59 tackles and two forced fumbles. The Texans are open to discussing a contract extension with Clowney, but they're also comfortable with letting him play out his fifth-year option because of his injury history. Clowney is a high-risk, high-reward IDP selection.
