Jacory Croskey-Merritt Likely Limited to Depth Role Again in Week 14
Washington Commanders running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt has operated behind Chris Rodriguez Jr. as the team's lead back in recent weeks. Croskey-Merritt hasn't found the end zone since his breakout game back in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers, and hasn't come close to replicating the efficiency he displayed over the first five weeks. Since Week 6, the rookie seventh-rounder has averaged just 3.13 yards per carry on 75 carries, ranking 42nd out of 45 running backs with at least 50 carries during that span. Comparatively, during his epic five-week run to start the year, Croskey-Merritt averaged 6.58 yards per carry on 43 attempts, ranking first among backs with at least 40 carries. Croskey-Merritt has fallen out of favor, with Rodriguez's downhill running style and ability to consistently gain positive yardage. The rookie looked better on his four carries last week against Denver, but the lack of touches makes him tough to trust. Croskey-Merritt is a decent deep league dart throw, but can safely be left on benches for Week 14's game against the Minnesota Vikings.
