Jacob deGrom's MRI Looks Great
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom's (elbow) MRI exam on Wednesday looked great, and the team now plans to ramp up his throwing program. deGrom was spotted playing catch at Citi Field prior to the game Wednesday, but the right-hander still has hurdles to clear before he can rejoin New York's starting rotation as the ace. Despite the good news, the 33-year-old is running out of time in the second half of the season to contribute for both the Mets and fantasy managers. deGrom's elite talent level makes him worthy of holding onto in all leagues, just don't expect too much from him from here on out. The four-time All-Star and two-time Cy Young winner has battled injuries for much of the year but is still 7-2 with a 1.08 ERA, 0.55 WHIP, 146 strikeouts and just 11 walks in 92 innings over 15 starts in 2021.
