Jack Conklin Out For Rest Of The Year
3 years agoTests on Monday confirmed that Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin (knee) tore his patella tendon in the Sunday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens, and he will miss the rest of the season, according to a source. Conklin had just returned from an elbow injury that had him on Injured Reserve. The 27-year-old will need to undergo surgery and might not be ready for training camp next summer. The Browns offensive line is one of the best units in the NFL, but losing Conklin on the right side is a big loss. Blake Hance filled in for Conklin after he was injured on Sunday night and struggled in pass protection against the Ravens defense. Conklin's season-ending injury is a downgrade for quarterback Baker Mayfield and Cleveland's ground game the rest of the way.
