J.D. Martinez Scratched With Wrist Injury
4 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder J.D. Martinez was scratched from Saturday's game against the New York Yankees with a wrist injury. Martinez injured his wrist while sliding into second base during Friday's game and is apparently still feeling the effects of that on Saturday. The team is calling him day-to-day for now. He will be replaced in the lineup by Hunter Renfroe, who is hitting fifth and playing right field. Danny Santana will now slide into the DH spot in place of Martinez. Stay tuned for Sunday's lineup card to see if Martinez is able to return for the series finale against New York.
