J.D. Davis Out Sick Wednesday
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman J.D. Davis (illness) was unavailable on Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds due to a stomach bug. Davis should be considered day-to-day for now. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Thursday to see if he'll be available for the series finale against the Reds. If he's not, there's a good chance he'll return at some point this weekend against the Washington Nationals. The 30-year-old could probably use a day or two off, though, as he's gone just 9-for-47 (.192) with a homer, two doubles, three RBI and five runs scored in 13 games in July to drop his season line to .268/.348/.431. Davis has added 11 home runs, 14 doubles, a triple, 47 RBI and 39 runs in 89 games in his first full year in the Bay Area.
