Initial Tests Positive On Corbin Carroll's Shoulder
1 year agoAccording to Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo, initial tests done on outfielder Corbin Carroll's shoulder were positive in terms of strength and stability. Carroll will undergo more testing on Saturday to see if the team can get a better feel for what might be going on. It's the same shoulder that caused the 22-year-old to miss three straight starts last weekend and the same shoulder he had surgery on two years ago, so it's definitely worrisome for Arizona and fantasy managers. Carroll left Thursday night's game against the New York Mets after a swing and miss in the seventh inning. It's unlikely that he'll play in the three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates to close out the first half, and fantasy managers should just be hoping that he's not forced to open up the second half next weekend on the injured list. Stay tuned for more information on his injury on Saturday.
