New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin suffered an upper-body injury in Sunday's 4-1 loss to Tampa and is considered day-to-day. He exited the game ahead of the third period after allowing two goals on 20 shots. Sorokin has been a rock for the Islanders and his absence will obviously be a big blow. They have a good backup in Semyon Varlamov, but he's had a rough campaign with only six wins in 21 starts. Sorokin is 22-14-7 for the year, carrying a 2.30 goals-against average with a .927 save percentage and six shutouts. Islanders head coach Barry Trotz hopes to know more about his injury on Monday. The next game comes on Tuesday against Columbus.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
