Ha-Seong Kim Starting Rehab Assignment on Monday
Ha-Seong Kim (shoulder) is slated to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Monday. Kim has been sidelined since last August after suffering a shoulder injury. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he will likely need several games during his assignment before he is cleared to report to Tampa Bay. The Rays signed Kim to a two-year contract worth $29 million during the offseason. Before his injury last summer, Kim appeared in 121 games for the San Diego Padres and held a .233/.330/.370 slash line with 11 long balls and 22 stolen bases. He provided strong value in points league due to his elite 16.4% K rate and 12.3% walk rate. When he returns to action, he should be the everyday shortstop in Tampa Bay and carry value in all standard formats.
