Gio Gonzalez To Make Brewers Debut Saturday
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez will make his first start with the team on Saturday against the Giants. Junior Guerra will move to the bullpen as a result. Gonzalez struggled for any kind of consistency with the Nats this year over 27 starts, going 7-11 with a 4.57 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 126 strikeouts in 145 2/3 innings. Perhaps the change of scenery will help the left-hander turn it around, but he'll be a shaky streaming pick even in a good matchup against San Fran. Guerra finds himself demoted after going 2-4 with a 7.57 ERA with six home runs allowed in 27 1/3 innings (six starts) since the beginning of August.
