The New York Giants restructured defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence's contract on Thursday to free up some 2024 salary cap space. The move freed up $7.5 million in cap space for the team by converting $10 million of Lawrence's base salary this year into a signing bonus. The 26-year-old earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2023 with the Giants by recording 53 tackles (32 solo), 4.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss and 21 QB hits in 16 starts. The elite defensive lineman signed a four-year, $87.5 million deal with the G-Men last year and has spent the first five seasons of his NFL career in the Big Apple after the Giants took Lawrence with the 17th overall pick in the 2019 draft out of Clemson.--Keith HernandezRead More News
