Giants Optimistic Daniel Jones Can Return This Year
3 years agoNew York Giants head coach Joe Judge said there is "no information in any way, shape or form that leads us to think there is a long-term threat" for quarterback Daniel Jones (neck). The Giants are waiting for Jones to be cleared for contact, and they are optimistic that it will happen this year. Jones was limited in practice all last week but didn't play in Week 13 and is unlikely to return in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Chargers. The 24-year-old QB is dealing with a strained neck suffered in Week 12. Mike Glennon didn't look very good in last week's loss and suffered a concussion, although the Giants think he has a good shot to play against the Bolts this Sunday. If Glennon isn't cleared, Jake Fromm would be making his first career NFL start.
