Giants Go With Kadarius Toney At No. 20 Overall
4 years agoThe New York Giants selected Florida wide receiver Kadarius Toney with the No. 20 overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft on Thursday night. Toney scored 11 touchdowns for the Gators in his final collegiate season. He's a flat-out playmaker that should help quarterback Daniel Jones tremendously as a home run hitter down the field. Couple that with free-agent acquisition Kenny Golladay, and the Giants have some real weapons through the air now. Toney could be viewed as a poor man's Tyreek Hill, but he'll need to protect himself at the next level because of his lack of size. He's very tough and has excellent breakaway speed to threaten defenses. Toney could excel out of the slot and can create after the catch.
