Geraldo Perdomo Homers in Arizona's Win
Geraldo Perdomo had a big night to help the Diamondbacks knock off the Dodgers 9-5 in the first game of the series in Los Angeles. Perdomo went 1-for-2 with a walk, a sacrifice fly, three RBI, and his sixth homer of the season. His blast came in the eighth inning off Matt Sauer and extended the lead to 9-3 at the time. Perdomo has been very productive this season, hitting .302 with six home runs, 11 stolen bases, and a .386 wOBA over his 47 games. He has hit safely in 12 of his last 14 games with a .383 batting average and four stolen bases. While he has dropped to the bottom of the order after the return of Ketel Marte, he continues to get on base and have good chances at run production in an effective Diamondbacks lineup. The promotion of Jordan Lawlar could cost him time if he slumps, but he's playing so well right now that he should have no trouble keeping his role for now.
