Houston Astros outfielder George Springer broke a nine-inning Astros franchise record Monday night, recording six hits during the Astros 16-2 blowout of the A's. Springer did it all, racking up a double, four singles and a towering 462-foot bomb for his eighth home run of the season. The previous record for hits in a game by an Astros player was Joe Morgan in 1965, but it occurred with extra innings played. Springer took his batting average up from .242 to .292 after the game. He is now hitting .461 over his last five games and when Springer gets hot, he can carry an offense for a week. The Astros leadoff hitter is a must-play in daily fantasy leagues the rest of this week.--Joey C - RotoBaller
