Gabe Davis 2023 Outlook: Good Pick At Current Value
2 years agoAfter Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis' 8-201-4 line in the 2021 playoffs, hype hit an all-time high for the young receiver. He fell short of expectations in 2022, ending the season with 48 receptions for 836 yards and seven touchdowns. While the Bills did use a first-round pick on tight end Dalton Kincaid, they did not do much else to shore up the receiver room. Davis will still be operating as the WR2 alongside Stefon Diggs in a pass-heavy, high-powered offense. Currently ranked as the WR40, Davis is worth drafting as your third or fourth receiver. He may have proven last season that he is a weekly boom-bust candidate, but there are bound to be boom weeks with him and his inconsistencies are baked into his draft capital. He has a much higher weekly ceiling than other players ranked around him such as Rashod Bateman, Courtland Sutton, and Jakobi Meyers.
