Freddie Freeman Feeling Good Heading Into NLDS
5 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman (elbow) said he felt good after taking part in a simulated game on Tuesday. "I didn’t feel my elbow at all. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow because I think I’m gonna be 100 percent," Freeman said. The All-Star first baseman missed time down the stretch due to bone spurs in his elbow, but he should be just fine for the National League Division Series against the Cardinals, which starts Thursday. Freeman is a good a fantasy play as any, hitting .295/.389/.549 with 38 long balls, 113 runs, 121 RBI and six steals this year in 597 at-bats. He'll face Cardinals righty Miles Mikolas in Game 1.
