Ezequiel Tovar Back From Paternity List
1 year agoThe Colorado Rockies announced on Thursday that they have reinstated shortstop Ezequiel Tovar from the paternity list and optioned infielder Connor Kaiser to Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move. Tovar should be back in the team's starting lineup on Friday for the series opener against the Los Angeles Angels. Colorado has an off day on Thursday. In his first full major-league season, the 21-year-old middle infielder is hitting .256 (64-for-250) with six home runs, 19 doubles, a triple, 30 RBI, three stolen bases and 32 runs scored in 70 games (264 plate appearances). He's picked things up in June, going 20-for-67 (.299) with three homers, four doubles, eight RBI and a stolen base in 17 games. Fantasy managers will want to get him back in their lineups this weekend.
