Evan Carter Hitting Cleanup In Game 3 Of World Series
1 year agoTexas Rangers rookie outfielder Evan Carter is starting in left field and is batting cleanup on Monday for Game 3 of the World Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks and rookie right-hander Brandon Pfaadt. The move breaks up the lefty bats of Carter and shortstop Corey Seager at the top of the lineup. Postseason sensation Adolis Garcia will be in the three-hole on Monday. Carter has gone 3-for-9 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in the first two games of the World Series and is hitting .313 (15-for-48) with a homer, eight doubles, six RBI, nine walks, three stolen bases and nine runs scored in his first 58 playoff plate appearances. The 21-year-old has yet to face Pfaadt.
