Eloy Jimenez Could Only Miss Two Weeks
2 years agoChicago White Sox manager Pedro Grifol is optimistic that outfielder Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) won't be out too long and will miss two weeks instead of three. Jimenez strained his left hamstring running from first to third base on Monday and was placed on the injured list on Wednesday. Given the 26-year-old's lengthy injury history, we wouldn't be surprised if Jimenez is out longer than expected, so fantasy managers shouldn't get their hopes up. Still, he should remain stashed in all fantasy leagues for the time being. Entering Wednesday, Jimenez had gone 4-for-19 (.211) with two doubles and three RBI in five games. Gavin Sheets should benefit with more playing time for however long Jimenez is out.
