Elijah Mitchell To Be A Game-Time Decision
3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said that rookie running back Elijah Mitchell (finger) has earned the right to be a game-time decision in Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mitchell hasn't practiced all week after having surgery on Tuesday to fix a broken finger he suffered in Week 10, and Jeff Wilson Jr. is ready to start and take the majority of the backfield work if Mitchell cannot play. The Niners were optimistic this week that the 23-year-old would be able to play through his broken finger, but he's up in the air for Sunday's game. The good news is the Niners play an early game on Sunday, so fantasy managers will know early in the day whether he's active. Mitchell has been a strong RB2 since taking over this backfield, but Wilson would have RB2 upside if Mitchell isn't given the green light.
