Edouard Julien Making MLB Debut Against White Sox
Edouard Julien is making his major-league debut on Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox and right-hander Lucas Giolito, starting at second base and batting eighth in the lineup. Julien was called up from Triple-A St. Paul to take the roster spot of Joey Gallo (side), and the Twins could use him in the short term with Jorge Polanco (knee) still on the injured list and Carlos Correa day-to-day with back spasms. The 23-year-old Julien is Minnesota's No. 4 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and he has intriguing power skills for a middle infielder. He's also patient and takes plenty of walks. Julien should play regularly at the keystone, at least until Polanco returns, so he shouldn't command a huge waiver-wire investment in single-year leagues.
