The Philadelphia Eagles acquired cornerback Darius Slay from the Detroit Lions on Thursday in exchange for a third- and fifth-round pick in the 2020 draft. As part of the deal, Slay is signing a three-year, $50 million contract extension with $30 million guaranteed from the Eagles. At 29 years old, he's now the highest-paid cornerback on new money average. The Lions didn't want to give Slay what he wanted, and he finally gets his wish and gets out of town with a new huge deal in hand. Slay is one of the best corners in the league and Philly desperately needed a No. 1 lockdown cornerback. He's been a Pro Bowler the last three years and was an All-Pro in 2017 when he had a career-high eight interceptions.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
