Donte Moncrief Has Strong Debut In Steelers Camp
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Donte Moncrief was targeted heavily on the first day of practice and made some nice plays. On one throw from Ben Roethlisberger, he high pointed the pass which drew praise from head coach Mike Tomlin. Moncrief is in his first year with Pittsburgh after signing a two-year contract in the offseason. There is 207 targets available with the departure of receiver Antonio Brown and tight end Jesse James, so Moncrief has a real opportunity to produce in Pittsburgh. He'll battle with second-year receiver James Washington to start opposite of JuJu Smith-Schuster. Moncrief has been rising in half-PPR mock drafts recently, currently going in 11th round, according to Fantasy Football Calculator. If he can stay healthy and impress the coaching staff in camp, he has fantasy sleeper written all over him.
