Dodgers Unsure When Clayton Kershaw Will Play Catch
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he doesn't know when starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (forearm) will play catch again. The Dodgers want to "save some bullets" for him for the rest of the season and playoffs. But the good news is that Roberts said he doesn't expect Kershaw to go on a minor league rehab assignment. The Dodgers are in no rush to bring the three-time Cy Young winner back to the rotation at this point and want to make sure he doesn't suffer any setbacks once he's back. It might be annoying to fantasy managers that are impatiently waiting for his return, but it'll probably be for the best in the long run. Kershaw continues to be valuable in all formats, posting a 3.39 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 127/19 K/BB in 106 1/3 innings over 18 starts in 2021.
